Nigel Farage Accuses Educators of ‘Indoctrinating Children’ on Racial Topics

Nigel Farage has asserted that educators would initiate walkouts shortly after a Reform UK election victory, accusing them of “poisoning our kids” by telling students that black pupils are victims and white children oppressors.

At a gathering for a Michigan-based religious institution, Farage outlined his viewpoint on British schools, claiming that the “radical left-wing” had “now in control of our education system”.

“I expect a walkout by educators very quickly after winning the next general election,” Farage commented during a Q&A session.

“They are corrupting young minds. They instruct children to feel guilt about their nation. They inform an eight-year-old black child that he is a victim and little Oliver, who is white, who is eight that he is a perpetrator. They are dividing us, not uniting us. They are feeding this negative culture.”

Reacting to Farage’s claims, the head of a major education union dismissed the notion that the education system was controlled by Marxists as “nonsense”. He pointed out that industrial action must relate to educators’ working conditions, and doubted whether the party would target these immediately upon entering government.

“Farage has built his political career on coded rhetoric and now, like Trump, he is targeting educators and their organizations for a fight,” Kebede stated.

“This is highly reckless. I don’t – and nor does my union – advocate such divisive theories as he’s suggesting … Should he become prime minister he would sell out our public services, including education … and the outcome would be catastrophic for education and children.”

The party, which is leading the polls by about 10 points, has provided limited specifics on its educational plans and seems not to have designated an education lead.

However, Farage’s remarks indicated the party would overhaul the system and the curriculum. Farage declared: “We face an enormous task with education – truly monumental. Moreover, it won’t happen quickly; it will take us years, years to turn this around.”

He stated that gen Z was more open to critical thinking, but older youth were “completely lost”.

Honoring a conservative activist, Farage said: “My goal for schooling is to foster independent thought – to educate individuals that multiple perspectives exist and they should decide for themselves rather than current practices where views are labeled good or bad. This is a huge undertaking in both Britain and America.”

The party has conflicted with the UK’s largest teaching union, after Kebede called the party “extremist and prejudiced” and described the leader as “a poundshop Donald Trump”.

Farage has accused the union head with being “an avowed radical” … an individual intent that our children should be poisoned through education, their thinking tainted regarding national issues” and maintained that the organization seeks to brainwash youth opposed to his party.

Roughly a million individuals work in schools in the UK, about half of whom are teachers and the others teaching assistants and support staff. The leading teachers’ organization has about 450,000 members.

Countrywide walkouts over teacher pay and conditions in 2023 led to significant interruptions in educational institutions and extensive missed instruction for children.

During the American gathering, the Reform leader also vowed to promote the digital courses of the Christian college in the UK. He stated such groups were “part of the fightback”, adding that: “I mean this. I will help attract vast numbers of youth to your online courses. I make that commitment now and I will follow through.”

The college, a religious educational establishment, provides complimentary classes. According to its online description: “A scientific, literary, theological, political, and moral education is necessary for personal happiness and to maintain the benefits of civil and religious liberty. The college furnishes these beautiful courses for free to every interested learner.”
