Passionate fans of Ariana Grande are demanding that a man who leaped a barrier and touched the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or deported from Singapore.

A widely shared clip shows the individual from Australia shoving aside camera operators and lunging at Grande while the actors walked down a yellow carpet flanked by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the stunned performer away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being detained", though court documents revealed that he was set to appear on the following morning. It is uncertain if he was charged.

Pattern of Incidents

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Troll Most Hated", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram account includes recordings of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including rushing the platform at the artist's Sydney performance in recently and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last winter.

"There needs to be action taken against him as this is evidently a legal violation," wrote an Instagram user, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his behavior.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user questioned.

Followers Express Concern Over Ariana's Safety

Several supporters accused Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had spoken of dealing with trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the finale of her May 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" said one more response on Instagram.

A number of attendees also questioned security officers at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while some requested online networks to ban Mr Wen's content.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In videos spreading on the internet, Grande seemed startled when she was grabbed by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the remaining proceedings continued without further issues.

Hundreds of Singapore supporters had queued up to see the performers of Wicked

Hundreds of fans had congregated in a sea of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good regional debut in a Singapore mall, including several who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it began.

The film, to be launched on 21 November, is the follow-up of a dual adaptation of the acclaimed theatrical musical Wicked, which focuses on the unlikely bond between two very different characters.

The show itself is a derivative of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a rosé sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown embroidered with roses.

They were alongside co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful movie of the previous year in the UK, and earned 10 Academy Award nods, securing several for outstanding attire and artistic direction.
