The outfielder previously helped the Houston Astros securing the championship in 2017.

Toronto's Blue Jays earned a spot in their maiden championship series following the 1993 season by overcoming the Seattle Mariners in the final game seven of the ALCS.

Down three runs to one, the star outfielder smashed a three-run home run in the seventh inning, guiding the sole Canadian team in MLB to a 4-3 win in the best-of-seven series. Next up are the defending champions, who are the defending champions, in the upcoming Fall Classic.

"I'm just so happy for this squad, the city, our country," commented Springer, a star of the Astros team that won the 2017 World Series. "It's truly an unbelievable moment."

The veteran has now connected for 23 total post-season home runs, making him third on the list behind Ramirez (29) and Jose Altuve (27).

"There's probably not another person on planet Earth that I'd choose in that spot besides Springer with his October magic," remarked Blue Jays manager John Schneider.

Seattle, after leading the early in the series, remain the only MLB franchise yet to make an appearance in a championship series.

Wilson commented "without a doubt that it hurts" in the wake of his side's defeat at Toronto's Rogers Centre, but applauded their efforts throughout the year.

"This is a unique group. It's a shame that we finished on the losing end of this one," he added.

The Blue Jays secured the championship on their two prior appearances in the early 90s, and will welcome the Dodgers in game one on this Friday.
